Refunds and cancellations
Eligibility, timeframes, and process for refunds on Content Creekbase consulting engagements.
Scope
This policy applies to paid programming consulting engagements with Content Creekbase — documentation systems audits, knowledge base architecture workshops, onboarding documentation packages, and editorial retainers. It does not apply to third-party software licenses or products we do not sell.
Eligibility
Refund requests are considered when:
- You cancel in writing before the agreed start date according to the timelines below
- We cancel an engagement and cannot offer a suitable reschedule
- A deposit was collected and the engagement never began due to our inability to staff the work
Timeframes
- More than 14 days before start: full refund of fees paid for unused work, minus any non-refundable third-party booking costs disclosed in the proposal (for example, reserved workshop rooms).
- 7–14 days before start: 50% refund of the project fee, or full credit toward a rescheduled date within 90 days.
- Fewer than 7 days before start: no refund of the project fee; deposits are forfeited unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Retainers: unused hours in a started month are not refundable; you may cancel future months with 14 days’ written notice before the next billing period.
Partial refunds
If work has started — interviews conducted, pages reviewed, drafts delivered — we may issue a partial refund reflecting completed milestones listed in the proposal. Delivered drafts and reports remain subject to the IP terms of the engagement.
Non-refundable items
- Completed audit reports, architecture models, and accepted written pages
- Third-party costs already incurred with your approval
- Discovery calls that were offered at no charge
Process
Email info@contentcreekbase.click with your name, engagement reference, and reason. We confirm receipt within three business days and decide within ten business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 business days of approval.
Rescheduling and no-shows
You may reschedule a workshop once without penalty if you give at least 7 days’ notice. Client no-shows for scheduled workshops without notice are treated as delivered time for that session. We will propose one makeup slot when capacity allows.
Work already started
Once fieldwork or drafting has begun, cancellation converts to a partial settlement based on hours or milestones completed. Materials purchased or prepared specifically for your engagement (for example, printed workshop canvases) may be charged at cost if non-returnable.
