Clients sometimes ask for a complete inventory of every documentation page in the first week. For a decade-old wiki that is neither useful nor honest. Our audits sample: entry points from onboarding, the top support deflection pages, and a horizontal slice across services.
Sampling reveals patterns — broken cross-links between API references and runbooks, duplicated troubleshooting trees, missing owners — without pretending the consultant read every historical page. The restructuring brief then tells your team where to deepen the inventory themselves.
If a regulated chapter must be exhaustive, we scope that chapter separately rather than diluting the whole engagement.
